Questions and answers
I have an older Wybot model, and it's not on the list. What should I do?
Some Wybot models that have been withdrawn from the European market no longer appear with their own subcategory in the parts catalog, but some parts are still compatible with the next generation. Contact the technical team, specifying the exact model and the part you need: they can check compatibility with the current generation or, if the part is available on request, arrange it directly with the manufacturer.
Can I replace the bin, brushes, or battery on my Wybot myself?
The dustbin/cartridge is straightforward: it can be removed and replaced in seconds without tools. The brushes usually have a clip or screw system accessible from the outside; you can replace them in 5–10 minutes by following the model’s manual. The wheels sometimes require unscrewing the chassis, but this is still manageable for a home user. The battery, on the other hand, is located inside the main sealed compartment: you must NOT open it yourself. Doing so voids the warranty and poses a risk (lithium batteries are sensitive to impact and moisture). To replace the battery, you should contact the official technical service.
What should I do if I buy a replacement part and it doesn't fit?
First, check the exact model and part number. If you made a mistake when ordering, Quimipool has a standard return policy for unused products. If the model is correct but the part still doesn’t fit, your robot may be a revised version of the same commercial model: contact us with the robot code and the replacement part code, and our technical team will determine if there is a specific variant.
Is it worth repairing an old Wybot, or is it better to buy a new one?
It depends on the cost of the repair compared to the price of an equivalent new model. As a rule of thumb: if the total cost of replacement parts plus service exceeds 50% of the price of an equivalent new model, it’s usually more cost-effective to buy a new unit. Inexpensive replacements (bucket, brushes, wheels, tank) costing less than €50 are almost always worth it. Replacing the battery in a model that’s 4+ years old is rarely worth it if the specific battery costs more than €150 and a new robot costs around €400–500.
Do Wybot replacement cartridges work with salt chlorination?
Yes. As with any genuine Wybot replacement part, the materials that come into contact with water (baskets, cartridges, brushes, seals, wheels) are selected to withstand chlorine and salt at typical residential concentrations (3–6 g/l). Recommendation: Rinse the robot and its parts with fresh water after each use to prevent salt from crystallizing on rubber parts and seals, which is the main factor that shortens the actual lifespan of consumables.

How to Identify the Exact Model of Your Wybot Before Buying a Replacement Part
Wybot replacement parts are model-specific. A Spyder basket won’t fit an E-Tron Vision; an S2 battery isn’t the same as the one for the Osprey. Before choosing a replacement part, check the model:
- Label on the bottom of the robot: On the base, on the housing, there is usually a sticker with the model code (,, etc.) and the serial number.
- Original box: If you still have it, the model is clearly printed on the side.
- Wybot app (if you use the app): The model number appears in the device information section.
- Purchase receipt: The full product name (for example, “Wybot E-Tron i30”) is listed on the receipt.
If you’re unable to identify the model, contact the technical support team at Quimipool and include a photo of the robot and, if available, the code from the bottom label.

Which Parts Need to Be Replaced Most Often on a Wybot
Like all cordless robots with lithium-ion batteries, Wybots follow a predictable wear pattern. The parts that are replaced most frequently are:
| Part | Estimated Service Life | Signs It Needs Replacement |
|---|---|---|
| Filter basket/cartridge | 1–2 seasons | Permanent clogging, mesh breakage |
| Brushes (rollers) | 2–3 seasons | Soft or worn foam; robot does not climb walls well |
| Wheels/tracks | 3–4 seasons | Loss of traction; robot skids |
| Basket/housing seal | 2–4 seasons | Water ingress where it shouldn't be, poor performance |
| Power supply/charger | 4–6 seasons | The robot won’t charge or takes longer than usual to charge |
| Lithium battery | 4–6 seasons (500–800 cycles) | Significantly reduced runtime |
The part that sees the most wear is the basket/cartridge: it works during every cycle and collects the finest debris (pollen, dust, microalgae). Having a spare at home lets you switch them out while you wash the other one.
How to Maintain Your Wybot to Extend Its Lifespan
Three simple steps drastically reduce how often you need to replace parts:
After each cycle: remove the robot from the water, open the basket, empty it, and rinse it with a hose (no high pressure, no chemicals). Let it air dry before storing it. Important: Never leave it charging all summer without use; between cycles, the robot should rest at room temperature, not constantly plugged in.
Winter storage: Keep the battery at 40–60% charge in a cool, dry place (not in a storage room exposed to the sun). A battery left at 0% for months will degrade irreversibly and will not regain its full range even if you charge it to capacity.
Take care of the solar panel (E-Tron Solar Vision): Clean the panel every 2–3 weeks with a damp cloth. Dust and salt crystals significantly reduce light absorption.
Basic Troubleshooting Before Ordering a Replacement Part
Before ordering a specific part, verify that it is actually the cause of the problem:
| Symptom | Most likely cause | Possible replacement part |
|---|---|---|
| Won't turn on | Battery at end of life or broken charger | Try another charger before replacing the battery |
| Very low battery life | Degraded battery | Battery (not always available as a replacement) |
| Does not climb walls | Cluttered dust bin or worn-out brushes | Clean the dustbin/cartridge first, then the brushes |
| Stays stationary at the bottom | Clogged impeller or drive motor | Clean the impeller; if the problem persists, contact technical support |
| Basket does not fit properly | Deformed gasket | Basket gasket |
| Water leaking from the housing | Main gasket | Housing gasket (check) |
| App won't connect | 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, firmware | This is not a replacement issue |
If the problem persists after replacing the suspected part, the technical support team at Quimipool can evaluate the device. As a general rule, do not open the motor or tamper with the battery on your own: doing so voids the warranty and, in the case of the battery, poses a fire hazard.
