Genuine spare parts for Wybot Spyder pool cleaners

Genuine replacement parts for the Wybot Spyder cordless pool cleaner: filter basket, wheels, brush rollers, charger, power supply, lithium battery and seals. Quimipool is an official Wybot distributor. Before purchasing, verify that your robot is the base Spyder model (there are sister models: Spyder Expert, Spyder Max and Spyder Genius, with parts that are not always interchangeable).

The Wybot Spyder and its family of models

The Wybot Spyder is the base model of the Spyder family of Wybot cordless pool cleaners: a compact, cordless, lithium battery-powered robot optimized for medium-sized residential pools. It primarily covers the pool floor (more advanced models in the family add wall and waterline climbing).

The Spyder family includes four variants with different performance levels:

Important: spare parts are not always interchangeable between the four variants. Some parts (filter basket, wheels, rollers) change between the base Spyder and the advanced versions. Before ordering, check the exact model of your robot on the label below or on the purchase invoice.

Most Requested Parts for the Wybot Spyder

As with all cordless robots with a lithium battery, the most frequently replaced parts are consumables in contact with water and dirt.

Part Indicative service life Replacement symptom
Filter basket 1-2 seasons Permanent saturation, mesh breakage
Wheels 3-4 seasons Loss of traction, robot skids on bottom
Brush rollers 2-3 seasons Foam peeled or deformed, robot not gripping well
Basket and housing seals 2-4 seasons Water ingress where it should not be
Charger / power supply 4-6 seasons Robot does not charge or takes longer than usual
Internal lithium battery 4-6 seasons or 500-800 cycles Significantly reduced autonomy

The highest turnover part is the filter basket (every 1-2 seasons), followed by the brush rollers (2-3 seasons). Having a spare basket at home allows you to alternate it while washing the other one and not lose a cycle in the middle of the season.

How to identify if you have the base Spyder or a variant

The exact model is printed on the bottom label of the robot (under the chassis). Quick visual differences between the variants:

  • Spyder base: the most compact model, with no suffix on the label.
  • Spyder Expert: carries the suffix "Expert" and usually incorporates additional LED indicators.
  • Spyder Max: slightly larger size (increased basket capacity).
  • Spyder Genius: includes additional sensors for intelligent navigation.

If the label is illegible, send a photo to the technical team at Quimipool and they will confirm the model. Special attention to wheels and filter basket: although all four variants share similar exterior chassis, internal dimensions may change between versions.

Maintenance that extends the life of your Wybot Spyder

Three simple actions multiply the life of the robot:

Cleaning the basket after each cycle. Remove the robot from the water, open the basket, empty and rinse with a hose (not under pressure, not with chemicals). Allow to air dry before storing. A saturated basket forces the motor to vacuum against resistance and accelerates battery and propeller wear.

Do not leave the robot charging all summer without use. Between cycles, the robot should rest at room temperature, not constantly plugged in. Lithium batteries degrade faster if they are permanently at 100% charge with heat.

Winter storage with battery at 40-60 %. This is the most important factor for battery life. A battery at 0 % for months degrades irreversibly, a battery at 100 % also loses capacity. Intermediate partial charge is optimal. Store in a cool, dry place, never in a garage or storage room at high temperatures.

Basic diagnosis before buying the spare part

Symptom Most likely cause Candidate part
Does not turn on Battery very low or charger broken Try another charger before changing battery
Very low autonomy Degraded battery Battery (service)
No or little suction Basket saturated or propeller clogged Clean/replace basket; check propeller
Skids on bottom Wheels worn Wheels
Basket does not fit properly Basket seal deformed Basket seal
Water leaking from housing Main seal Housing seal (consult technical service)
Robot stands still and flashes Motor overheating or software error Allow to cool for 30 min; if persistent, call for service

If the problem persists after replacing the suspect part, the equipment can be assessed by the official service department. Do not open the motor or tamper with the battery yourself: this voids the warranty and, in the case of the battery, poses a risk (damaged lithium batteries can catch fire).
