At www.quimipool.com we use cookies and similar technologies. This policy explains what they are, which ones we use, what they are for and how you can accept them, reject them or change your choice at any time. It is governed by Article 22(2) of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI) and by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small file stored in your browser when you visit a website. It is used to remember information about your visit. There are other similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, pixels and tags, which also store or read information on your device. In this policy, everything we say about cookies also applies to them.
3. Your choice about cookies
When you first visit the website we show you a cookie notice with three options: “Accept”, “Decline” and “Manage preferences”. Under “Manage preferences” you can choose by category (Personalisation, Marketing and Analytics) and save your choice with “Save my choices”, or click “Accept all” or “Decline all”. Until you choose, only technical cookies are set. The boxes are never ticked in advance.
We do not make access to the website or purchases conditional on accepting non-essential cookies.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
Your choice is stored for 12 months in a Shopify technical cookie, which records the categories you have accepted or declined. After that time, we will ask you again.
4. Types of cookies we use
- Technical: they allow you to browse, buy and keep the website secure. They do not require your consent.
- Personalisation: they allow you to use features you choose, such as the customer service chat. They are only set if you accept them.
- Analytics: they measure use of the website statistically in order to improve it. They are only set if you accept them.
- Advertising and marketing: they are used to measure and optimise our advertising and to send you marketing communications. They are only set if you accept them.
Depending on who manages them, they are first-party (managed by Quimipool through our Shopify platform) or third-party (managed by another company). Depending on how long they last, they are session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept until a set date).
5. Cookies we use
The exact names and durations may change when a provider updates its services. We review these tables periodically.

The chat only loads if you accept personalisation cookies. If you do not accept them, you can contact us by telephone, email, WhatsApp or the contact form.

Google and Meta tags. We load them through Shopify's official integrations, which respect your choice: if you do not accept analytics or marketing cookies, these tags do not set cookies on your device.
6. Third parties involved
Meta. If you accept advertising cookies, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Quimipool are joint controllers (Art. 26 GDPR) for the collection of your browsing data via the Meta pixel and its transmission to Meta. Meta is solely responsible for any subsequent processing of that data. You can exercise your rights against either of us.
Opiniones Verificadas (Skeepers). We display customer reviews using a widget from this service. The widget only displays the reviews and does not set tracking cookies on your device.
Google, Zoho, Connectif and Intuition Machines (hCaptcha). They process data on behalf of Quimipool or, in Google's case for its own advertising use, as independent controllers, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
7. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Google, Meta and Intuition Machines (hCaptcha) are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Shopify transfers data to Canada, a country with a European Commission adequacy decision. Zoho hosts data in the European Union, with occasional technical access from India covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. Connectif processes data in Spain. You can request a copy of the safeguards at info@quimipool.com.
8. How to manage cookies from your browser
In addition to our panel, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block technical cookies, parts of the shop, such as the cart or login, may stop working.

9. Your rights and how to complain
You can access, rectify and erase your data, object to its processing, restrict it and request its portability, as explained in the Privacy Policy. If you believe we are not processing your data in accordance with the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es). We would be grateful if you wrote to us first at info@quimipool.com so that we can try to resolve it.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the cookies we use or the law change. If the change is significant, for example if we add a new category, we will ask for your consent again.
