Pool Leaf Catcher: Efficient Cleaning and Daily Maintenance Within Everyone's Reach

Pool leaf catchers are accessories to keep the water free of floating debris such as leaves, insects or small particles. Simple, inexpensive and easy to use, they allow quick and efficient cleaning without the need for complex equipment. Choosing the right model improves the aesthetics of the pool, prolongs the life of the filtration system and reduces the use of chemicals.

what are these products for?

  • Quick and daily maintenance: They allow removing dirt manually in a matter of minutes, without having to turn on the filtration system.
  • Saving resources: They reduce the load on the filter and skimmer, which extends their useful life and avoids frequent cleaning or maintenance.
  • Versatility: Suitable for any type of pool: in-ground, above ground, above ground, above ground or spa.
  • Very accessible cost: They are economical products with an excellent quality-price ratio.

how do they work?

A leaf catcher consists of a mesh or bag-like structure attached to a rigid plastic frame. This frame is connected to a telescopic or fixed handle (usually made of aluminum), which allows reaching any corner of the pool. It is used manually to collect floating dirt or dirt deposited on the bottom, moving it towards the mesh.

There are two main types: surface leaf collectors (flat format) designed to capture floating debris, and bottom leaf collectors, with a deeper and reinforced mesh to collect dirt accumulated in the lower part of the pool.

Main characteristics

Types of leaf catchers:

  • Surface leaf catcher: With flat frame, ideal for floating leaves and light particles.
  • Bottom leaf catcher: With deep bag, for heavy debris such as stones, branches or soil.
  • Reinforced models: With metal frame or protected edges for greater durability.
  • Compatibility with universal telescopic handles: They usually have standard coupling compatible with most poles on the market.

Durable materials:

  • High density polyester or nylon webbing.
  • Rigid or reinforced PVC frames.

Ergonomic designs:

  • Beveled edges for easy sliding along the bottom.
  • Models with side tabs for efficient dragging.

Buying Guide: Which is the best product for you?

For small or removable pools: Basic flat models are sufficient for leaves and floating insects.

For medium-sized or in-ground pools: A deep bag bottom leaf catcher is ideal for effortlessly keeping the pool base clean.

For small to medium sized private pools: You can opt for automatic surface cleaning robots, such as the Dolphin Skimmi Surface Cleaner.
