Tecno Connect: the fixed production range

The family Techno Connect there are four models differentiated by production: 12, 21, 30 and 40 g/h. All of them share:

Tecno Connect Scalable: the future-proof proposal

The family Scalable part of a same physical hardware capable of producing between 7 and 40 g/h. The concrete production of each unit is "fixed" in the firmware of the equipment depending on the model purchased, but hardware supports the full range. This allows, if in the future you need more production (because you expand the pool, add coverage that extends the season or change the use), the equipment is upgraded to higher production without physically replacing it.

Models available: 7 g/h (730 €), 12 g/h (929 €), 21 g/h (1,129 €), 30 g/h (1,369 €) and 40 g/h (1,499 €).

Does the price premium of the Scalable over the standard Tecno Connect pay off? It depends on your horizon:

• If your pool is finished, dimensioned and you do not foresee changes in 10 years, Tecno Connect standard is rational choice.
• If you have a newly installed pool that you are going to expand or if you are hesitating between two productions, ScalableYou pay a little more today in exchange for not having to change the equipment the day you need more.
• If you manage rental pools or second homes where usage can vary sharply between seasons, Scalable gives you room to adapt with no replacement cost.

Chlorine production according to your pool size

Same sizing rule as in any serious chlorinator: the equipment must work at 50-60% of capacity in normal summer conditions so that the cell lasts as long as expected. The practical table for Idegis:

Connectivity and app Idegis

One of the most valuable decisions in the catalog: the entire Tecno Connect range is Wi-Fi enabled ex factory. Pairs with the app Idegis (Android and iOS) and allows:

• Real-time reading production, salt level, alarms, and cell status
• Remote adjustment of production (%, operating hours)
• Notifications in case of events (low salt, high fouling cell, lack of flow)
• Historical of operation per session, week and month

Comparatively, in BSV the Ey-pools module costs 459 € (full version) or 295 € (Touch Evo version). On Idegis is included in the Tecno Connect price. That difference is real: for an equivalent purchase with connectivity, Idegis is usually cheaper or the same as BSV/Innowater + connectivity kit.

Grounding and protection of the installation

Idegis focuses on something that is sold as a separate accessory on other brands: the grounding of the salt water of the swimming pool by means of the products Pool Terre from Astralpool (compatible with any installation, not only Idegis) and the Grounding kits.

Any pool with a salt chlorinator should have a water ground to prevent two things: traveling currents (stray microcurrents that generate galvanic corrosion on metallic components) and accidental discharges if there is an electrical failure in any submerged component (light bulb, heat exchanger). Typical errors and maintenance

Four quick tips:

• If the app does not connect and the equipment is connected to the power supply, check that your Wi-Fi reaches the machine room with a good signal. If the shed is far from the house, it is advisable to install a repeater: weak Wi-Fi = constant disconnections and bad experience.
• The "unlocking" of the Tecno Connect Scalable is done by the authorized SAT, is not done remotely from the app. If you need to expand production, please contact the technical service and the necessary firmware/hardware is scheduled to be visited or shipped.
• Connecting the app to your home router is done over the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, not the 5 GHz network. If your router is configured to merge bands, it is sometimes necessary to temporarily separate SSIDs for pairing.
