Cleaners Zodiac

Cleaners Zodiac: complete range of robots for residential and commercial swimming pools

Zodiac is one of the historical brands in the automatic pool cleaning sector. Its current range in Quimipool covers three technologies: suction hydraulics (T and MX series), corded electric (Sweepy, XA iQ, Voyager, Alpha iQ, Vortrax, ARCO) and cordless with battery (Freedom, Freerider, CNX-Li and Pixel OP). Prices range from €59.96 for the Spa Wand to €3,675 for the premium ARCO.

This category groups all models Zodiac currently available at Quimipool. If you are looking for a specific model (MX8, 40 XA iQ, Freedom Lite), they are listed above; if you still don't know what you need, read on: the following sections explain what differentiates the hydraulic ranges from the electric ones, when it is worth switching to cordless and what maintenance care extends the life of this equipment.

ZodiacTechnical context of the brand

Zodiac Pool Solutions has been part of the Fluidra Group since 2018. The brand has its origins in the aquatic equipment division of the former Fluidra Group Zodiac (yes, the one for inflatable boats) and has been developing pool robots, salt chlorinators, heat pumps and heating systems for decades. In pool cleaners, its catalog is divided into three clearly differentiated technological lines, which allows adjusting the investment to the actual use of the pool without going directly to a professional range.

The trade mark of Zodiac in the face of Dolphin or Beatbot is the coexistence of the three formats (hydraulic, electric and cordless) in the same catalog, keeping the hydraulic range in force when other brands are abandoning it. This is especially relevant in pools with a filtering system already sized to accommodate a hydraulic robot (models T3, T5 Duo, MX8, MX10), where the investment in electric does not pay off.

How to choose a pool cleaner Zodiac

The key decision is not the brand within Zodiac, but the technologyHydraulic, electric with or without cable. Each one solves a different problem.

Hydraulic (Serenit MHV, T3, T5 Duo, MX8, MX10)

It connects to the skimmer or to a specific pool outlet and uses the power of your filtration pump to move and vacuum. No proprietary electronics, no power cord, no transformer. When to choose it: when you already have a well dimensioned water treatment plant (minimum flow rate 8 m³/h for MX) and you are looking for the lowest investment in automatic aspect. Limitation: depends on the pump running during the cycle, which increases the power consumption of the pump for several hours.

Corded electric (Sweepy, XA iQ, Voyager, Alpha iQ, Vortrax, ARCO)

It works autonomously with its own motor and filtration. It only needs the power supply plugged in. When to choose it: frequent use, medium-large pools, search for complete coverage (floor + walls + water line) and fine filtration (60 µm in double level). Limitation: the floating cable has to be handled every cycle. The XA iQ and above incorporate swivel (anti-swivel) system.

Cordless with battery (Pixel OP, Freedom, Freerider, CNX-Li)

Stand-alone robot with lithium battery. No cable or transformer. When to choose it: when the convenience of not handling the cable compensates for the limited autonomy (between 1.5 and 2.5 hours per cycle depending on the model). Works well in average residential pools. Limitation: is not the ideal choice for very large pools or for intensive daily use; the battery has limited charge cycles (typically 500-800 usable cycles).

Reference models by pool size:

• Up to 8x4 m, ground: T3, MHV 20.
• 8x4 m to 9x4 m, floor and walls: MX8, T5 Duo, Sweepy SWY 3500.
• 9x5 m to 10x5 m, floor, walls and water line: MX10, 30 XA iQ, Freedom Lite, Pixel OP 32.
• 10x5 m to 12x6 m, full coverage with connectivity: 40 XA iQ, Freedom OF 42, Alpha iQ OA 6400/6600, Voyager RE 4700.
• More than 12x6 m or very intensive use: Vortrax TRX 8500/8700, ARCO.

Maintenance and spare parts for pool cleaners Zodiac

Maintenance Zodiac varies according to the technology:

Hydraulic (T and MX): overhaul suction membrane, O-rings, floating hoses and skimmer connector. The membrane and the foot pads are the parts that wear the most. It is advisable to remove the robot from the water between uses to avoid continuous UV on the rubber.

Electric with cable: empty and rinse the basket/cartridge after each cycle. Check brushes (gray for smooth pools, white for tile or ceramic), tracks and impeller. Replace floating cable if cuts appear or connector becomes rusty.

Cordless (Freedom, Freerider, CNX-Li, Pixel OP): in addition to the maintenance of the basket and brushes, monitor the condition of the battery. Store in a cool, dry place between seasons, with the battery at 40-60 % of charge if it is going to be stopped for more than three months.

In the robot pool cleaner spare parts you can locate original parts ZodiacThe following products are available: baskets, cartridges, brushes, caterpillars, propellers, floating hoses, hydraulic membranes, power supplies and spare cables.

Basic diagnosis of common malfunctions

Symptom	Probable cause	Initial check
Does not move	Saturated basket, clogged impeller	Empty basket, remove debris from impeller
Does not climb walls	Insufficient filtration, worn brushes	Clean basket, assess brush replacement
Hydraulic no suction	Broken diaphragm, leaking hose	Inspect diaphragm and seals, check hoses
Cordless: low autonomy	Battery degraded by age or cycling	Technical service for battery replacement
Electric with cable: does not turn on	Power supply, cable connector	Test source with another model if possible
Constantly coiled cable	Swivel system missing or broken	Models without swivel: manually rotate the cable

If after these checks the problem persists, we recommend the official technical service from Quimipool, which has a specific revision for the range Zodiac. Opening the motor voids the warranty.
