Shower Parts Astralpool Standard: Complete set including shower head, faucets, and mounting hardware

The Standard Astralpool shower is the most commonly installed pool shower at Espa: the classic shower pole, available with or without a foot shower faucet, which has been installed in private and community pools for decades. Exposed to the elements year-round—sun, heat, chlorine, and frost—its wear parts are easy to replace, and replacing them costs a fraction of what it costs to replace the entire shower.

On this page, you’ll find the complete breakdown of the Standard shower with original replacement parts Astralpool, organized by section: the showerhead (the flower or head), the faucets (valve body and handles, including the foot shower handle), and the base (Ø 43 anchor, mounting hardware, and decorative cover). As an official E-Partner of Astralpool, all the replacement parts we sell are genuine manufacturer parts with their official warranty.

In addition to repairs, remember the role the shower plays: using it before swimming reduces the amount of organic matter that enters the water and saves on disinfectant —a shower that works well is part of pool maintenance, not just comfort.

Astralpool Standard Shower Breakdown by Section

Each part links to its product page with the updated price, including VAT. If you have a different Astralpool shower model, check the general shower replacement parts section or send us a photo and we’ll identify it for you.

Zone 1 — Showerhead: the shower head

Replacement Part Estimated Price When to replace
Shower head €44.90 The upper showerhead (also called a shower rose). Replace it when the water stream is crooked, weak, or coming out of only a few holes, and descaling no longer restores it to proper working order.

Zone 2 — Faucet hardware: valve and handles

Replacement Estimated price When to replace
Valve body €23.75 The internal mechanism of the faucet. This is the part that stops the continuous dripping that doesn’t stop even after the faucet is turned off.
Plastic shower knob + shaft €34.90 Shower head with shaft included. The solution when the shower head spins freely because the shaft’s threads are worn out.
Plastic shower head €30.75 Shower head only. Sufficient if the shaft is in good condition and the outer plastic is damaged (cracks, sun-faded).
Plastic footwash faucet knob €58.95 The lower faucet handle for models with a foot shower.
1/2” shower fitting €16.90 The half-inch T-connector that directs water into the shower column.

Zone 3 — Base: Anchor, Mounting, and Trim

Replacement Part Estimated price When to replace
Complete Ø 43 PVC shower anchor €50.90 The socket that is embedded in the floor and holds the 43 mm post. It is replaced in new construction or if the original is broken.
Mounting bracket for Ø 43 shower anchor €10.90 The component that secures the post inside the anchor. The cost-effective solution when the shower wobbles or rotates.
Decorative shower cover Ø 43 €28.74 The trim piece that covers the base and completes the installation. Replace if it is broken or weathered by the sun.

Pineapple, artichoke, or sprinkler: the same part

The top part of the shower head goes by three different names depending on the region: shower head, artichoke, or spray head. In the Astralpool catalog, you’ll find it listed as a shower head, and it’s the most frequently requested replacement part for the Standard model for one simple reason: it’s the part most affected by limescale. If you live in an area with hard water, the holes gradually clog up over time; when vinegar or descaling agents no longer restore the water flow, it’s time to replace it.

Quick Diagnosis: From Symptom to Part

The foot wash faucet does not shut off properly Footwash faucet handle or mechanism Footwash faucet handle

How to Disassemble the Standard Shower Without Any Surprises

Standard replacement parts can be installed with basic tools. Here’s the order to follow to avoid any problems:

  1. Turn off the shower’swater supply before touching anything
  2. Knobs: These are usually secured with a front screw or one hidden under the knob’s trim; remove the screw and pull the knob off the shaft
  3. Knob: threaded onto the upper pipe; unscrew it by hand or with a wrench, protecting the part with a cloth
  4. Valve body: accessible after removing the knob; unscrew the mechanism with a fixed-jaw wrench
  5. Base: Remove the decorative cap to access the anchor fastener

Two tips from a veteran: apply silicone grease to the threads when assembling new parts (you’ll be glad you did the next time you disassemble it), and never force a thread that’s seized up when cold—apply descaler, wait, and try again. If the post hasn’t been disassembled in years and won’t budge, it’s better to consult technical support than risk breaking the tube.

Maintenance that extends the life of your shower

  • Use a descaler on the showerhead once or twice a season in hard-water areas: soaking it in vinegar or a descaling solution keeps the spray even
  • Drain the system before winter: empty the shower circuit at the end of the season; water that freezes inside the shower column bursts pipes and connections—this is the classic winter breakdown
  • Close the faucet without forcing it: Tightening the knob all the way “to stop it from dripping” accelerates wear on the valve body; if it drips when closed normally, the part needs to be replaced
  • Check the mounting at the start of the season: a securely mounted shower head won’t put stress on the internal connections
