The pump Astralpool Victoria Plus and its spare parts

The Astralpool Victoria Plus is one of the reference pumps in the Astralpool for residential pools. From sober and robust design, the pre-filter cover nut of the pre-filter is made of new generation for easy opening/closing without tools, motor with protection IP-55, rubber mounts that reduce the noise level and a large capacity prefilter. Its construction combines technical plastics and stainless steel this makes it a very durable pump that benefits greatly from consumable replacement maintenance.

The Victoria range has several versions with common parts and specific parts:

• Victoria Plus (this model): the base version.
• Victoria Plus SilentQuieter version, with double-handle pre-filter. Different pump casing to the Victory Plus.
• Victoria Plus Silent VSSilent version with variable speed. It shares many parts with the Silent.

In addition, the Victoria Plus shares the pump body with the Astralpool Sprint and several other parts with Glass Plus, Verdon and Alaska Plus, which multiplies the availability of spare parts.

Important notice about the pump body: the Victoria Plus shares pump body with Sprint, but not with the Victoria Plus Silent nor the Victoria Plus Silent VS, which have their own pump body (more voluminous due to the silent system). If your model is Silent or Silent VS, check that the pump body you are going to buy is the specific Silent one, not the Victoria Plus base one.

Note on the 16 mF capacitor: Astralpool and ESPA belong to the same industrial group and share a capacitor supplier. The 16 mF capacitor in the Victoria Plus (high power) is the same electrical part used in many ESPA sister models. What matters for performance is the electrical specification (16 microfarads), not the marking printed on the capacitor body.

When to replace each part - actual symptoms

Maintenance that extends the life of your Astralpool Victoria Plus

Cleaning of the pre-filter basket every 1-2 weeks during the season. The Victoria Plus has a large capacity pre-filter, which allows slightly longer intervals than in smaller pumps. Even so, a saturated basket forces the motor to work against resistance, raises its temperature and stresses the mechanical seal. Five minutes of preventive maintenance avoids costly breakdowns.

Correct baiting at the start of the season. Fill the pre-filter with water before starting the pump at the beginning of each season. Running dry for even a few seconds will irreversibly damage the mechanical seal.

Soft closing of the pre-filter cover nut. The new generation nut of the Victoria Plus is designed for opening/closing without tools. Tighten firmly by hand up to the stop. Forced tightening with extra leverage deforms the O-ring and cracks the prefilter neck.

Winter storage in areas with frost. Drain the pump at the end of the season. Loosen the drain screw, let all the water drain out and leave the pre-filter cover ajar.

Terminal box protection. Tight cable gland and tightly closed terminal box cover prevent moisture ingress. The IP-55 protection of the motor is only effective if the external sealing is maintained in good condition.
