Maintenance that prolongs the life of your Pulit Advance+

Clean the filter bag after each cycle. Remove the robot, open the bag, empty the dirt and rinse with a hose. Allow to air dry before storing. A saturated bag forces the pumping motor to work against resistance, raises its temperature and accelerates wear of the entire chain.

Preventive belt check at the beginning of each season. The drive belts and the crawler belt are the parts that suffer the most from the abrasion of the pool liner. In rough tiled pools they wear out faster than in reinforced sheet or smooth paint. If at the beginning of the season the belts are smooth or stretched, replace them before the robot starts to slip.

Check the belt tensioner. The 3506 tensioner maintains the correct tension of the drive belts. If the tensioner is loose or broken, the belts will slip on the gears even when new. Check at each belt change.

Check the propeller before ordering motor. When the robot "does not vacuum" or "runs slow", before buying a new pumping motor (which is the most expensive part of the Pulit Advance+), open the top cover and check if there is dirt blocking the propeller (hairs, leaves, small stones). Sometimes a simple cleaning will solve the "malfunction" without the need for replacement parts.

Store in the shade and dry. UV rays degrade plastics and rubber. The Pulit Advance+ out of water should be stored in the shade, ideally with a cover. UV degradation of the cable is a frequent cause of electrical failure in older robots.

Cable connector to the power box. Visually check every season and clean with electrical contact cleaner if there is any verdigris. Oxidation reduces power and makes people think the motor is failing when the problem is the contact.
