Replacement parts for the QP automatic pH controller: probes, peristaltic tube, and probe holders
The QP pH controller does a quiet but crucial job: it measures the water’s pH and, when it deviates, injects just the right amount of pH corrector. When it’s working, you don’t even notice it. When it fails, the water becomes unbalanced, chlorine loses its effectiveness, and limescale begins to damage the system.
Maintenance focuses on three parts: the pH probe (which measures), the peristaltic tube (which pumps), and the probe holder (where the probe is installed in the piping). Here they are, with prices—and the key factor that determines which probe to order: the cable length you need.
As an official E-Partner of Productos QP, all products are genuine manufacturer parts with a warranty.

pH Probes: Choose by Cable Length
This is the most frequently ordered replacement part, and the most common mistake is ordering a cable that’s too short. Measure the actual distance from where the probe is installed to the equipment, following the path the cable will take—not in a straight line.
| Probe | Length | Approximate Price | When to Choose It |
|---|---|---|---|
| pH electrode Seko | 1.5 m | €74.90 | The standard configuration: the unit is located next to the probe |
| pH electrode Hanna | 2 m | €76.90 | When the probe holder is a little farther away |
| pH electrode Seko | 5 m | €78.90 | Installations where the equipment is on another wall or on the other side of the control room |
Two things to check before ordering: the length (with a margin—it’s better to have half a meter too much than a palmo too short) and the connector type, comparing it to that of your current probe. If you’re unsure, send a photo of the equipment and the connector via the contact form.
Typical service life: 2–3 seasons.
Head, installation, and outlet
| Replacement | Estimated price | What it does and when to replace it |
|---|---|---|
| Santoprene peristaltic tube | €34.90 | The No. 1 consumable. This is the tube that the rollers squeeze to pump the concealer. Acid hardens it from the inside. Replace every 1–2 seasons or if flow rate decreases. |
| Roller holder | €49.25 | The rotor that holds the rollers. Replace if they turn with difficulty or show signs of wear—a worn roller holder will wear through a new tube in a matter of weeks. |
| Long PSS3 Probe Holder | €23.95 | The housing where the probe is installed in the pipe. Replace if it is cracked or no longer seals properly. |
| 50-1/2” PVC Pipe Collar | €2.59 | The pipe collar for mounting the probe holder on 50 mm pipe. |
Calibrating the regulator: the ritual that keeps it working properly
Calibration means teaching the equipment what a known pH value is so that it can correctly interpret its measurements. Without calibration, the reading drifts—and the pump dispenses acid based on inaccurate data.
When to do it:
- At the start of each season, without exception
- Every 2–3 months during the season
- Whenever you replace the probe
- When the display does not match your reference analyzer
Basically:
- Stop the analysis and remove the probe from the probe holder
- Rinse the tip with clean water and gently dry it, without rubbing the bulb
- Immerse it in the calibration solution and wait for the reading to stabilize
- Confirm the calibration by following the menu sequence on your device
- Rinse, reassemble the probe, and resume dosing
Two warnings: the calibration solution expires (it’s the number one cause of failed calibrations), and the probe must not be allowed to dry out —if you disassemble it, store it with its cap and preservative solution.
Quick Diagnosis: From Symptom to Part
| Symptom | Most Likely Cause | What to Check |
|---|---|---|
| The pH reading on the display does not match the analyzer | Probe is out of calibration or worn out | Calibrate with fresh solution; if it drifts over time, replace the probe |
| I can’t calibrate | Solution has expired or the probe is worn out | Use a new solution first; then check the probe |
| The reading takes a long time to stabilize | Sensor at the end of its life | Probe of the correct length |
| Dosing less than programmed | Hardened peristaltic tube | Santoprene tube |
| Pumps but does not draw in product | Expired tubing, clogged foot filter, or air | Tube, foot filter, suction connections |
| Product is leaking from the pump head | Punctured hose | Hose; check inside the head |
| Noise or stiff rotation in the head | Worn roller holder | Roller holder |
| Leak at the probe tip | Probe holder or collar | Probe holder; then collar |
| The pH does not drop even though the system is dosing | Empty bottle or clogged injection point | Check the bottle level; then check the tube and injection point |
Maintenance of the pH controller
- Flush the system with clean water at the end of the season. Leaving acid to sit for six months is what hardens the tubing and causes the injection point to crystallize. This is the single most effective step for preventing breakdowns
- Check the foot filter every time you change the bottle: it takes just two seconds and solves half of the suction problems
- Keep the probe moist if you disassemble the unit
- Replace the calibration solution every season, even if there is still liquid left
- Monitor the injection point: scale buildup occurs gradually
- Always weargloves and goggles whenever you open the head
