QP Bravia pump and its spare parts catalog

The QP Bravia is a self-priming pump with integrated pre-filter from the brand Productos QP (Quimicamp Piscinas), a company with more than 50 years in the Spanish swimming pool market pool water treatment. It is one of the best-selling pumps in the company's own-brand catalog Quimipool, available in a wide range of power ratings from small demountable pools to large volume residential pools.

The Bravia range is manufactured in seven powers:

  • QP Bravia 0.33 hp: small and removable pools (up to 25 m³).
  • QP Bravia 0.5 hpSmall medium-sized pools (25-40 m³).
  • QP Bravia 0.75 hp: medium-sized pools (40-60 m³).
  • QP Bravia 1 CV: medium-large pools (60-80 m³).
  • QP Bravia 1.5 hp: large pools (80-100 m³).
  • QP Bravia 2 CV: very large pools (100-130 m³).
  • QP Bravia 3 CVCommunity swimming pools or intensive facilities.

This range of powers means that some parts are range specificThe pre-filter cover and the motor fan change according to the power. The gasket and the basket, on the other hand, are common to several powers within the low range.

Most requested parts and compatibilities by horsepower

All parts are originals of Productos QP. Before ordering, identify the exact power of your pump (motor label) to choose the correct variant.

Pre-filter cover (3 variants per power)

Variant Powers covered
Bravia pre-filter cover 0.33 hp QP Bravia 0.33 hp
Bravia pre-filter cover 0,5 - 0,75 - 1 CV QP Bravia 0.50 hp, 0.75 hp and 1 hp
Bravia 1,5 - 3 CV pre-filter cap QP Bravia 1.5 hp, 2 hp and 3 hp

For other power ratings (0.33 hp, 1.5-3 hp) the bucket may have a different reference; please consult with your local distributor technical equipment indicating exact power.

Variant Powers covered
Bravia 0.5 - 0.75 - 1 CV pre-filter cover gasket QP Bravia 0.50 hp, 0.75 hp and 1 hp

Piece of higher turnover of the pump: having a spare at home allows to solve priming losses in minutes in the middle of the season.

Motor fan (2 variants per power)

Variant Powers covered
Bravia fan 0,75 - 1 HP QP Bravia 0.75 hp and 1 hp
Bravia Fan 1,5 - 2 HP QP Bravia 1.5 hp and 2 hp

  • Locking knob: small part of the opening/closing system of the pre-filter, common to several powers.

How to identify the exact power of your QP Bravia

The power is printed on the motor side label of the pump: a sticker or metal plate with electrical data (power in hp or kW, voltage, current, frequency). The data to look for is the power in CV (horsepower):

  • "0.33 hp" or "0.25 kW" → smaller variant.
  • "0.50 hp" or "0.37 kW" → 0.5 hp.
  • "0.75 hp" or "0.55 kW" → 0.75 hp.
  • "1 hp" or "0.75 kW" → 1 hp.
  • "1.5 hp" or "1.10 kW" → 1.5 hp.
  • "2 hp" or "1.50 kW" → 2 hp.
  • "3 hp" or "2.20 kW" → 3 hp.

If the label is illegible (typical in pumps with several years of weathering), send photo of the complete pump to technical equipmentOften visually identified by the size of the motor.

When to replace each part - actual symptoms

Symptom Candidate piece Check
Pump constantly loses prime Deformed pre-filter cover gasket Replace seal (most rotating part)
Pre-filter basket broken or deformed Pre-filter basket Direct replacement
Cracked or opaque pre-filter cover Pre-filter cover (depending on power) Direct replacement
Nut/knob cover difficult to move Locking knob Small replacement
Motor overheated, thermal protector tripped Fan clogged or broken (depending on power) Fan assembly
Pump does not start, motor hums Motor capacitor (check also) Consult technical service
Constant leakage under the pump Mechanical seal (internal) Technical Service
Abnormally low flow rate Saturated basket or internal soiling Clean basket; if it persists, check

Maintenance that extends the life of your Bravia QP

Cleaning of the pre-filter basket every 1-2 weeks during the season. The basket collects leaves, hair and coarse debris before it reaches the pump impeller. A saturated basket forces the motor to suck against resistance, raises its temperature and accelerates the wear of the internal mechanical seal (the most expensive part to repair after the motor).

Correct baiting at the start of the season. Fill the pre-filter with water before starting the pump at the beginning of each prolonged use. Running the pump dry for even a few seconds will irreversibly damage the mechanical seal.

Soft closing of the pre-filter cover. Tighten firmly by hand to the stop, without tools. The knob is designed for hand tightening; extra leverage deforms the cover gasket (the most rotating part) and can crack the prefilter neck.

Winter storage in areas with frost. Drain the pump at the end of the season. Loosen the drain screw, let all the water out and leave the pre-filter cover ajar. A pump with water in it in a frosty area will crack.

Terminal box protection. Tight cable glands and a tightly closed terminal box cover prevent moisture ingress, the main cause of electrical failure in older pumps.

Basic diagnosis of common malfunctions

Symptom Most probable cause Action
Pump does not start, motor hums Condenser at end of life Check capacitor; replace if necessary
Pump starts and stops on its own after a while Thermal protector tripped due to overheating Wait 30 min, check fan and basket
Loss of priming after hours of standstill Deformed cover gasket or improperly closed cover Replace gasket, check seal
Constant leakage under the pump Worn mechanical seal Technical service (not DIY)
Abnormally low flow rate Saturated basket or internal soiling Clean basket; if persistent, check inside of basket
Loud noise and vibration Motor bearing or foreign body Technical Service

If the problem persists after replacement of the candidate part, the technical service can value the complete equipment.
