Replacement parts for the QP Beige laminated filter: strainers, caps, gaskets, and a complete custom-made parts list

The QP laminated filter —the classic beige polyester and fiberglass filter—is one of the most widely used sand filters in Spanish residential pools. Manufactured on the manufacturer’s platform Coral, it shares the same parts list with the Alaska, Volcán, Neptuno, Ciclón, and Rubí laminated series: if you have any of these filters, the parts on this page are the ones you need.

Here you’ll find the complete parts list with prices: strainer baskets in four sizes (70, 100, 140, and 200 mm), lids and gaskets, pressure gauges, diffusers, and elbows by filter diameter, plus replacement parts for the selector valve. All genuine Coral/Productos QP products with the manufacturer’s official warranty (we are an E-Partner).

The key with laminated filters is to identify your filter’s diameter before ordering—we’ll explain how below. And if you have any questions, our technical support team can identify the part based on a photo.

Before ordering: identify the diameter of your filter

Several parts in this parts list (diffusers, elbows) are specified by filter diameter, not by model. You can find it on the filter label (D.400, D.500, D.600, D.780…) or by measuring the body at its widest point: the number in millimeters is your size. With the diameter and a photo of the worn part, your order will be processed on the first try.

QP Laminated Filter Parts List by Section

Zone 1 — Cover and control

Replacement Part Estimated price When to Replace
Pressure Gauge €14.54 The filter’s warning light. Replace if the needle doesn’t return to zero when the pump is off, if it’s stuck, or if there’s water in the sight glass. Without a reliable pressure gauge, you’re flying blind.
Standard 10-screw cover €35.78 The classic top cover. Replace if it has cracks or the screw holes are damaged.
Transparent ABS cover €109.00 The lid with an integrated viewing window: allows you to check the condition of the bed without opening it.
Standard lid gasket €21.99 Ensures the lid is airtight. If you notice any leakage around the lid, this is the part to replace—do not tighten the screws further on a worn gasket.

Zone 2 — Interior: strainers, diffusers, and manifolds

Replacement Parts Estimated price When to replace
70 mm strainers (4 pcs) €16.79 The slotted “fingers” that let water through and trap sand. If sand appears in the pool, this is where the problem lies.
100 mm strainers (4 pcs) €17.79 Medium size. Always replace with a strainer of the same length as the broken one.
140 mm strainers (4 pcs) €18.79 Size for larger filters.
200 mm strainers (4 pcs) €19.80 The longest size in the lineup.
Top diffuser (D.400 to 650) €12.95 Distributes the incoming water over the filter bed. For filters with diameters from 400 to 650 mm.
Top Diffuser (D.750 to 900) €15.90 Serves the same purpose for large diameters.
50 mm manifold distributor €20.88 The central component where the strainers are threaded on (50 mm connection).
63 mm manifold distributor €32.46 The 63 mm version for Neptuno, Ciclón, and Rubí.
Standard Complete Drain Assembly €24.90 The bottom drain on the filter. Replace if it leaks or the plug is loose.

Zone 3 — Fittings and Elbows by Filter Diameter

Replacement Part Estimated Price For which filter
Upper Elbow Assembly 500 €24.90 500 mm diameter filters
Upper Elbow Assembly 600 €24.90 600 mm filters
780 Upper Elbow Assembly €37.90 780 mm filters
500 Lower Elbow Assembly €24.90 500 mm filters
600 Lower Elbow Assembly €24.90 600 mm filters
780 Lower Elbow Assembly €37.90 780 mm filters
50 mm wall bushings + O-ring €12.95 Connection through the filter wall, for 1½” valves
63 mm wall-mounted fitting + O-ring €14.96 For 2” valves

Zone 4 — Selector Valve Replacement Parts

Replacement Part Estimated price Purpose
50 mm O-ring (2 pcs) 4.75 € Seals 50 mm connections
63 mm O-ring (2 pcs) €5.84 Seals 63 mm connections
2” loose nut gasket €5.86 Flat gasket for the coupling nut
1½-inch loose nut €13.75 1 1/2” valve-to-filter coupling nut
2” loose nut €15.85 Same in 2”
1 1/2-inch cup €13.58 The 1 1/2” connection seat
2” cup €13.90 The 2” seat
Complete 1½-inch elbow €44.78 Complete 1 1/2” connection elbow
Complete 2” elbow €56.89 Complete 2” connection elbow

For the interior components of the valve itself (star, spring, valve cover gasket), see spare parts for selector valves.

The pressure gauge: two minutes to diagnose the entire filter

The pressure gauge is the cheapest part of the breakdown diagram and the one that provides the most information. Memorize its two readings:

  • High pressure (above your usual operating pressure): the filter media is dirty → time to backwash and rinse. If the pressure doesn’t drop after backwashing, the sand is compacted or saturated
  • Sudden drop in pressure: blockage upstream of the filter (skimmer basket, pump prefilter) or air in the system

Record the pressure with the filter freshly washed: that’s your baseline. When it rises by about 0.3–0.5 bar above that level, backwash. And if the needle doesn’t move or doesn’t return to zero, replace the pressure gauge—it costs €14.54, which is refunded when you return the filter control panel.

Quick Diagnosis: From Symptom to Part

Symptom Most Likely Cause Part to Check
Sand in the pool Broken or loose strainer Strainers (same size) and their tightness in the manifold
Leak from the cover Worn gasket Lid gasket (do not overtighten screws)
Crack or seepage in the cover Cover deteriorated by sun and chemicals Standard or transparent lid
The pressure gauge does not register or does not return to zero Faulty pressure gauge Pressure gauge
Leak at the valve-filter connection Loose nut or cup gasket Gasket, loose nut, or cup, depending on condition
Leak at elbows or wall bushings Worn O-rings or cracked part O-rings; then elbow/wall-penetration fitting
Leak from the lower drain Damaged drain Complete drain
High pressure that does not drop during flushing Saturated or compacted filter bed Replace the filter media: sand or filter glass

When to open the filter (and what to take advantage of to change)

The natural time to replace internal parts is when changing the filter media (sand every 4–6 seasons; filter glass extends that cycle). With the filter empty:

  1. Check all the filter screens one by one: inspect them by hand for cracks in the slots. A single broken screen will allow sand to leak back into the pool
  2. Replace the lid gasket even if it looks fine: it costs €21.99 and will ensure a tight seal for years to come
  3. Check the top diffuser: if it’s broken, the incoming water will erode the filter bed and reduce filtration quality
  4. Take this opportunity to clean the drain and check that it closes properly

Spending an extra half-hour with the filter open saves you from having to open it again in two months.

Can’t find the replacement part for your QP laminated filter—or not sure if your filter is an Alaska, a Volcán, or a Neptuno? The name doesn’t matter: since they share the same platform, almost all replacement parts are interchangeable. Call us at 91 128 55 90 or send us a message via the contact form with a photo of the filter and its label (which shows the model and diameter), and we’ll confirm the exact part for you.
