what are phosphates?
Phosphates have different sources for their introduction into the environment, such as fertilisers, cleaning products, boiler water conditioners and water purification products. High phosphate concentrations facilitate the growth of photosynthetic organisms that contribute to the eutrophication of freshwater basins. This makes it important to control phosphate discharges into the environment.
Phosphate is used in water treatment, heating and cooling systems as a corrosion inhibitor. It is also measured as a nutrient in agriculture and horticulture. High phosphate concentrations facilitate algal growth, corrosion build-up and can cause environmental pollution and eutrophication.

how is it used?
Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the HI713 provides fast and accurate results in a few simple steps:
STEP 1. Zero the checker with your water sample.
STEP 2. Add reagent to the cuvette.
STEP 3. Insert the cuvette into the Checker.
STEP 4. Press the button and read the results.
