Each gresite plate is composed of gresite of dimension 2,3 x 2,3 cm. They are made only with flat glass and ceramic dye, so the physical and chemical characteristics of the product are the same as those of glass, offering extreme hygiene.

Supply of the gresite

The HISBALIT border is supplied in panels of 33,33 x 16,66 cm, depending on the chosen format.

Glued paper:

The pieces are glued with kraft paper on the exposed side, therefore, they are not visible at the time of installation.

Preparation prior to the installation of the Minoan Valance:

Surface preparation:

To achieve good adhesion to the substrate, it must be completely free of dust, grease, paint, efflorescence, grout, plaster residue or any other substance that may impair the adhesion of the mosaic. The ideal substrate is a fine render with water-repellent mortar. Both vertical surfaces and floors must be perfectly levelled and smoothed.

We recommend a specific adhesive cement for zero absorption products, with mixed and deformable binders. We recommend cementitious adhesives that comply with EN 12004 and EN 12002 C2TES1.

Grouting

We recommend a cementitious-based grout for fine joints, without aggregate, deformable, water-repellent and stain-resistant, which complies with the UNE-EN 13888 CG2W standard. All glue manufacturers also have a range of coloured grouts for covering joints

Necessary material for laying the gresite:

  • 3 mm fine-toothed notched trowel.
  • Sponge trowel.
  • Rubber or wooden block.
  • Sponge.
  • Glass-cleaning rubber
