what is a pressure controller for?

• Brio 2000 automates the starting and stopping of the electric pump when the taps are opened and closed. Electronic system for automatic pump activation.
• It deactivates the pump when there is a lack of water, protecting it against potentially damaging dry running.
• By means of a timer, it is able to restart the pump to check for the presence of water (Brio 2000-T and 2000-MT models only)
• It is used for clean water installations. Otherwise, it is necessary to install a filter at the inlet of the device.
• The pressure gauge ensures the control of the operating pressure and of the installation, and checks for leaks in the installation.

NOTE: Up to 4 start-up attempts with 1 hour intervals. After that the reset has to be manual.

Installation of the Brio 2000 MT

• Brio 2000 should be installed at any point between the pump discharge and the first point of use. If a pump with a maximum pressure of more than 10 bar is used, a pressure reducer must be installed at the inlet of the unit.
• If a pump with a power greater than 0.5 HP is used and the ambient temperature is above 25°C, cables with a thermal resistance of not less than 99°C must be used.
• If the water level to be primed by the pump is below the level at which the pump is installed, it is necessary to use a suction pipe fitted with a non-return valve that allows filling the first time the pump is put into operation and prevents emptying when the pump is stopped.
• Before start-up, the suction pipe and the pump must be completely filled and then the pump must be activated by the Brio 2000 power supply; when the pump stops, open the highest tap in the system.
• If the flow from the tap is completely regular and there is continuous operation of the pump, the start-up procedure has been carried out correctly. If, on the other hand, there is no flow, you can try to run the pump continuously for longer than the time programmed on the timer of the device by pressing and holding the RESET button.
