Teflon for PVC
Teflon is used in joints (threads) to prevent water leaks in pipes and is sold in roll form. Its main characteristics are: it resists humidity and high temperatures without losing its properties.
what material is it made of and how is it applied?
Teflon is used in threads and pipes made of:
- copper
- plastic
- iron
- steel.
- It should be rolled in the opposite direction to the direction of the thread
- It is recommended to spread it firmly over the whole area, from the beginning of the thread.
- Once the area is wrapped, proceed with the threading of the parts. Make sure that the threads are completely clean.
