what is Baquacil Anti-algae concentrate?

Baquacil concentrated anti-algae, destroys algae and prevents their appearance. In liquid form, and free of copper sulphate, it is one of the three basic elements of the Baquacil treatment.

Treatment with PHMB, chlorine-free.

PHMB is a chlorine-free product, which does not produce annoying by-products such as chloramines or stabiliser. PHMB (Polyhexamethylenebiguanide) is a chemical molecule derived from an antiseptic: biguanide. It is an active ingredient used, among others, in contact lens cleaning solutions.

PHMB has a stable chemical structure that is resistant to the sun's UV rays, temperature variations and pH fluctuations. This stability allows effective control of bacteria in the pool, providing less laborious water maintenance.

BAQUACIL PHMB effectively combats a wide variety of micro-organisms and disinfects the water. In combination with the action of the filter, it clarifies the water thanks to its microflocculant action.

With the use of BAQUACIL PHMB, numerous problems associated with chlorine (variation of the chlorine level, over-stabilised water, eye and skin irritation, unpleasant odour) disappear, and the same level of disinfection is achieved.

BAQUACIL PHMB is incompatible with certain chemicals, especially chlorine and bromine. It is essential to neutralise any previous treatment products present in the pool water before starting treatment with PHMB.

Shock treatment or also called initial treatment or treatment at the beginning of the campaign.

• Bacuacil shock 2 lts. per 20 m3
• Bacuacil Antilagas 100 ml for every 20 m3

the following day:

• Bacuacil PHMB 1 lt. per 20 m3

Weekly treatment or maintenance treatment (this treatment is started one week after the initial treatment)

• Bacuacil shock 0.5 lts. per 20 m3
• Bacuacil Antilagas 100 ml per 20 m3

the following day:

• Bacuacil PHMB 1/4 lts. per 20 m3
