how does the Hayward Navigator work?

The Navigator is an automatic, turbo-powered pool cleaner that is easy to install and operate. It incorporates the smartdrive system, also known as aquapilot.

Connected to any pool suction inlet, it will function as an integral part of the pool's filtration system, operating effectively on any type of liner or surface, be it liner, fibreglass, glass liner or simply paint, its main water flow continuously sucks in accumulated leaves and dirt, providing movement to the main turbine, which acts as the driving element, for fast and efficient movement in all corners.

The hydraulic nature of its movement and the lack of electrical elements give the device great energy savings, autonomy and total safety, which even allows you to enjoy your pool while the Navigator is working.

The water drawn in drives the turbine responsible for the movement and the Aquapilot steering system, which steers the Navigator.

The small turbine drives the computer-designed SmartDrive steering system, which provides the Navigator with movement according to a repetitive cycle, turning from left to right and in a straight line and making it capable of negotiating any corners or other obstacles. In this way, we ensure the complete cleaning of your pool.
