Dual-Layer Filtration System: How It Works

Sora robots filter at two complementary levels, adapting to the actual condition of your pool:

External filter basket (coarse mesh, 250 µm)

The system’s first line of defense. It can be used independently and is designed for intensive initial cleaning: leaves, insects, and large amounts of debris after a storm or when opening the pool in the spring. Its 250 µm mesh reduces the risk of clogging and protects the internal filter.

Internal non-woven fabric filter (3 µm)

Ultra-fine filtration. It traps dust, fine sand, algae, and microscopic debris down to 3 microns. It must always be used in conjunction with the external filter basket—never on its own—as the coarse mesh prevents the filter cloth from becoming clogged prematurely.

When should you replace the filter on your Beatbot Sora?

The recommended service life is 40 cleaning cycles or about 150 hours of operation. Replace it sooner if you notice any of these signs:

• The non-woven fabric remains visibly gray or stiff after washing.
• The robot loses its ability to suck up debris.

A clogged filter forces the motors to work harder, reduces cleaning performance, and shortens the unit’s lifespan. Replacing it on time is the most cost-effective maintenance for your pool cleaner.
