why dehumidify an indoor pool?

Indoor swimming pools are the solution to enjoy swimming all year round.

In these cases, the installation of dehumidification equipment is necessary to:

• Preserve the room where the pool is located,
• Enjoy optimal comfort.

What you need to know:

In an indoor pool, evaporation depends on several parameters:

• Surface area of the pool.
• Water temperature.
• Air temperature.
• Hygrometry percentage.
• Water movements in the pool (number of bathers, overflow, counter-current swimming, etc.).

To limit the phenomenon of evaporation, it is advisable to install a thermal blanket in the pool. This blanket will save energy for water heating, air heating and dehumidification.

In the room where the pool is located, the ideal hygrometry is between 60% and 70%. Above 70 %, water-saturated air will cause an uncomfortable atmosphere and encourage mould growth. Below 60 %, air that is too dry will cause the bather to feel uncomfortable when coming out of the water.
